Watersportcentrum Lemmer
About 120 berths, right on the open water, with winter storage indoors and outdoors.

Over 200 berths from eight to twelve metres, spread across several small harbours.
Jachthaven de Punt
Sheltered harbour with berths from nine to fifteen metres and direct access to the open water.
We also work at the storage yards and at private owners' places ashore. For the repair it makes no difference where the boat stands, as long as we can get to it and the weather cooperates.
What we come across here
Damage from open water looks different from damage from inland water
The open water has a short, steep chop. That means more pounding on the bow, more load around the rubbing strake and more hairline cracks at stress points in the deck than on a boat that only sails the Frisian lakes.
Then there is the lock work. The Prinses Margriet lock and the locks in Lemmer produce their share of scuffs, gelcoat damage along the topsides and damaged rubbing strakes every season. That is usually spot repair work: half a day, on site, done.
What we are called about most
- Crack or hole in the hullA knock against a pile while berthing, or run aground. Structural repair of the laminate.
- Osmosis and blistersBlisters on the underwater hull. Needs drying and a barrier coat, not a job to fit in between.
- Gelcoat and scratchesBerthing damage, scratches along the topsides, dull or discoloured gelcoat. Often done on site in a few hours.
- Crazing and hairline cracksA fine web of cracks in the gelcoat, often around fittings or at stress points. Rarely urgent, but it is a signal.
- Leak with no visible damageWater in the bilge while nothing looks broken. Usually skin fittings, seams or keel bolts.
- DelaminationA soft or springy patch in deck or hull. The laminate has come away from the core.
Frequently asked questions about repairs in Lemmer
Do you come to the harbour in Lemmer?
Yes. For scratches, gelcoat damage and polishing we come to the berth or the storage yard, usually finished within half a day. The boat does not have to come out of the water. Only structural repair, osmosis and spray work go to the workshop.
